Vacuum reserve is okay. I've not used the car in 2 days and still had a small bit of vacuum in the system, so it air tight enough.

Re: DIY002D BRAKE UPGRADE retrofitting a new Dual Master Cylinder and Booster. 01/17/2020
Thanks for your quick reply. What make of booster/master did you use? I have a 7" dual diaphragm booster with dual from Tuffstuff but it gives almost no assistance! It's dangerous to drive the car, and won't any more. Some say a 7" booster won't stop our big and heavy cars, I just think the booster ...

Hi guys.
I’ve converted the brakes off my ‘60 Lincoln in just the same way as described here but have a hard brake pedal and almost no assistance from the booster.
They say the pedal ratio might not be good or to less vacuum.
I have 18 inch vacuum so should be okay!? Did you change anything else?

Re: 1959 Thunderbird piston size
Below are my measurements. They are all in millimetres, I hope you can understand them.
If not, let me know and I'll convert it all to inches.
Don't look to much on how well the chart is made... I'm a car guy, not a computer guy!
Thanks

1959 Thunderbird piston size
Hi everyone. Been doing some work on my ‘59 Thunderbird 430 and when I measured the pistons, somethings odd came out. The piston size was slightly bigger (on the bottom of the skirt) then the manual said they should be. But not that big that it could be an oversize. Left the numbers in my garage (no...

Re: 60 Lincoln Premiere
Hi wimpy,
I might be interested in a swap to add your numbers. I have a ‘60 Lincoln with a 4 barrel intake and it should have a 2 barrel. If you want to swap your 2 barrel intake for a 4 barrel i might want to swap with you to get my car 100% original!
Thanks, Ferdy

Re: Power steering issue
Worked on the power steering today and kind of solved the problem. Why kind of... first it was turning itself to the left, and when I adjusted the nut on my steering gear it turend to the right. Been trying to get it levelled out in the center but that's not an easy think to do. You can't do it with...

Re: Power steering issue
Hi novetti. I saw in the manual that the valve spool could be adjusted and that could make the same kind of problem. I think it’s the same that you mentioned. If it is out of central position it keeps (a small amount of) pressure on the steering gear. So that could solve the issue. I’ll try to adjus...

Re: 1960 2 barrel intake wanted
Hi Chris,
thanks for your reply. Do you mean I can find them on this forum right now, or maybe somewhere in de future on eBay or so? I just bought the original 2 barrel carb, so only the manifold is missing now to get my car 100% original.
