Re: tri-power

That's why this forum is invaluable. Kultulz: I think I can still get a 64 engine, I was under the impression a 62 was the one to get. So what i gather first try to get the 64. Then the 58 and lastly 62. But all three will work I just have to check and see the ports match on the 64 and 62. I have pl...

Re: tri-power

I finally got the SM in my possession. Linkage is built and it is for the most part complete. Photos to follow. I have a question for all the MEL experts out there. I have sold the 64, 430, Lincoln. I was lucky enough not to include the SM in the sale. I have decided to build an open wheel project a...

Re: tri-power

Hoodless would be a bad look. I mean bad in a good way. Here's what I got now.

Re: tri-power

I took everyone's advise and Joe built the linkage, he is now being contacted about he bracket. I am just keeping my fingers crossed regarding the hood clearance. If it doesn't fit, I will just have to rebuild another 430 for another project, maybe a 56 Mark II.

Re: tri-power

Slowly but surely the rebuild is moving along. There is a linkage problem now, it appears there's some special bracket needed for the center carb for the linkage to function properly. Looks a lot different from the original photos on page one. I will keep everyone posted. I just hope it's not...

Re: tri-power

Photos of the install to follow. I just hope I get the intake back this month. I should have mocked the set up first but to be honest I didn't think I would find a SM intake. This entire build has been about putting the cart befroe the horse. I was thinking that I could possibly have the intake mill...

Re: tri-power

Thanks for the comments and information. I went with Super Marauder valve covers, I almost order the Moon covers just because. I am going to have the inside of the fins painted the same colour as the car. Now to get the intake done, shipped back to me and see if it will actually fit, I don't have th...

Re: tri-power

Buddy do you have contact information for the linkage? I posted photos of my car on the Lincoln Forum. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Re: tri-power

New photos. It has been a long time coming but the rebuild is coming to a close. It still needs linkage, polished stainless steel lines and a fuel pressure gauge. Can wait to see if it fits. If not any takers?

Re: tri-power

It sounds like I got a good deal. But by the time it fully restored and installed I will be close to double the inital ebay purchase price. Oh well - cool old school stuff isn't cheap.
