I see Kensington & Chelsea Council has decided that cyclists will be allowed to go the wrong way along one-way streets. When challenged about this on the TV news, a spokesman said 'well, they already do this and as long as they are careful and don't cause an accident we see no reason why it should not be allowed'.
Strewth! Talk about double standards!
There are many, many roads that have been slapped with a 30mph limit (after being 40mph quite safely for years) and whenever I can I still drive at 40 along them. I do so safely. Lots of us do. I have never caused an accident by doing this, and neither have countless others. Does this mean that we will finally see the end of the speed camera and a return to sensible limits?
