Is there some way to remove the welch plugs in the oil galleries under the intake so I can plug/restrict oil to the lifters without getting metal shavings or crud in the galleries? 428 CJ engine.Oil pressure at idle not good it's about 10 psi hot.

Just curious, how will you restrict them, .................

how much restriction, and what kind of lifters do you have. I have hyd rollers and am not sure if its OK to restrict them very much.

Oil restrictors

I have solid rollers in there for the time being.I talked to Barry R. at the Columbus,Ohio swap and he recommended putting a slug in the passages with a .060 hole in them, not completely restricting all the oil from the lifters.Barry assembled my engine valve train(lifters, rockers, pushrods, springs, retainers, etc,).I don't think you should restrict any oil from your hyd.roller lifters. Maybe others will chime in.
