Well, went to check on my fathers's '65 Ranchero tonight, apparently someone has removed the vin # from the driver's door. The vehicle has been at my uncle's house. Not sure who would have removed it, but how would I go about obtaining another vin # with the correct numbers on it? I know it will be a pain in the ass, but if I can get it done, will be worth it. I have a couple people that I know to talk to about the removal, it will get messy if one of them did it. I know that someone out there has had this problem before, any logical help will be appreciated. Yes, I do have a 44 cal. Remington that can make a big hole, but that will just cause more problems. Thanks for any suggestions.
You can have one made as they have been reproduced for years. You will of course need the vin from your paper work or fender aprons and from there Paint, interior, engine, trans, axle codes. It has been a long time since I needed a 65/66 tag so forget where possibly Marti Auto. This a fairly common thing with all the 65/66 Mustangs out there. Hope that helps
call auto krafters you dont need title just your old vin if it had model color trim axel trans & rivets they have it just tell them colorof everything &model just get vin corect cost about 30.00 they make new ones they do that for your reason you can make dso number up vin telles them most thats all the law goes by &rivets outlaw
