Looking for info on a manual shift flywheel for a 1966 390. I bought the motor out of a 1966 Galaxie with a C-6 and I want to convert it to a 4-speed set-up. I have a bellhousing from a 1966 Fairlane 390. What size flywheel and clutch will I need? I see them advertised with different tooth counts and clutch sizes. Thanks for the help.

I would get a decent steel aftermarket flywheel.... don't buy an old (stock) cast iron flywheel, I am sure you value your legs.... not worth the risk.

The 390 is nuetral balance same as all FE's except the 428. 11" long pattern is by far the nmost common clutch although some flywheels are drilled for long and B&B patterns.
