I have a Fomoco cam i cant ID. Its labeled Fomoco between the rear lobe and the tapered end. It also has a 45 stamped near the Fomoco
The ID numbers are Y A and under that is an X . It came in a 428 CJ very early engine. Does anyone have any info on this? email jim@shelbyparts.com
IIRC the "YA" marking can be either a 2v cam or a GT/CJ cam, the paint stripe gives added info if it's still there. Measuring the lobe centers, even if worn, should distinguish the two, or degree it for the 050 durations, those dont change much even with a worn cam.
According to the 1975 MPC, the C3AZ-6250-U cam used for 1965 and 1966 352 and 390 installed in car lines A and S (full-sized Ford and Thunderbird) is marked "YA".
