Do any of you guys have a tulip exhaust valve in either a ported Edel or Blue Thunder head? I got a great deal on some barely used 1.880 Titanium exhaust valves from Manley, I was going to send them to Jarvis Performance to have them cut down to 1.750 and have them 45'd with some back cuts. They just looked a little odd to me since they seemed to have a "ton" of meat around the stem and started to tulip almost 3/4 inch up from the valve head on the stem. I did go with the Titanium nailheads for the intake though.
tulip exhaust and nailhead intake. If your cutting them down that much they might get "fat". Normally you don't backcut exhaust but I did on mine and it picked up flow, I'm sure you will have to. Backcutting also got rid of the turbulance on the flow bench and was much quieter afterward.
