Here at Seal Beach it's about 40 degrees outside. Shorts weather in Minnesota but the houses here have almost no insulation and the heating systems are pathetic.
I'm having trouble getting the temperature in the house above 60. It's misery, I tell ya!
It's 26 degrees and still snowing up here. There is over a foot on the ground, and 2-3 feet in drifts all over the place. I'll go out and take a picture of DSC Motorsport for all of you back east to enjoy(it'll look like home, lol).
I've been called by FedEx for 3 days. No package P/U by them or UPS up here, and I can't get out. No snow plows up here as it's the Wild West.
Guess I'm on vacation. Take care and stay warm. Dennis, DSC
Snow is alrady melting fast in the sun as it is as clear as a bell here. Lost 4 major tree limbs (the smallest was 20 feet long 6 inches in diameter, the biggest is over 12 inches in diameter and over 40 feet long. Insurance adjustor will be here in today because of the roof damage. Tbird is not too bad but has a bad spot on the left C pillar (it needed a new headliner anyway!). C'est la Vie as they say, whooda thunk we would get almost 12 inches of snow? Our annual precipitation is only 5 inches primarily of snow so this storm was a whopper by our standards. It was 75 here Monday! Hawkrod

But it was a lot drier today, and we don't have 3/4 of an inch of ice and frozen rain all over everything, but it was a nice crispy frost.
One Sad story: three girls went up to Tahoe and wanted to save $$ so they slept in their car... with the engine running and the snow piled up over the tail pipe and the fumes asphyxiated all three... tragic!

this a.m., about 5" of snow on the ground and a major snowstorm on the way (like 10"-12"). Will hit zero or thereabouts this weekend. Both Mustangs sleeping soundly in the garage, dreaming of Spring, some fresh gas and some hot runs! Sleep well, my pretties!

The really good thing about living on the East Coast[and I do mean coast] is, at least we get ample warning as to what the weather is going to be like, by the time it reaches Maryland! Have faith guys, I've been out west, and you can pretty much plan your whole month ahead, because of the clear, HOT,dry weather you have! We have an old saying here on DelMarVa, " If you don't like the weather here- just wait 10 minutes, it'll change!" I do hope everyone is O.K. with this "Freak Storm." It certainly has given the Weather Channel something to talk about!! BE careful!! Dean
Weather in Fresno CA has been in the 30's and low 40's. Rain off and on this week and into the next week. I am keeping in mind that we need the rain. Come April we more than likely will not see it again till the following fall.
I did manage to take the Cobra out to run around town last Saturday.
Bob Bertaut and some of the 650 Yamaha website guys used to have a crawfish boil down in Slidell. I never got to go and have the big uns'. I have had some from Taneycomo and Bull Shoals down on the Arkansas/Missouri border, little ones compared to the Louisiana ones but good nonetheless. Down on the Taneycomo Tailrace there are all kinds of little ox bow sloughs crawling with them. You can steam them and smoke them, do the veggies. MMM!
Other then a cold, not bad just north of Sac Town.

We had some snow in the surrounding area's, but nothing here at home, caught a nasty cold, so been staying in-doors lately. Taking day-quil and night-quil for it, seems to be helping. Hopefully it gets over and done soon. Hope everyone is doing their best to stay warm and dry.
It was 18 Monday morning, 19 Tuesday morning, 37 yesterday. It's 68 now, 70 tomorrow and Saturday, 25 Sat. night. Not a drop of precip, having to look at the pictures to see rain or snow. We're in west Texas, about 200 miles west of Fort Worth.
He is a high school buddy of mine that works for SFFD. I think he is at one of the busier stations in the city, but I don't know the name. I live in Maryland now, but I was out there over Thanksgiving visiting family and he and I got together to watch a Niners game. I am going to be out there again over Christmas and hope to take in another Niners game with him then.
He doesn't have the Ford connection, but I just wondered if you might know him since you are both SFFD.
HAAAaaaaaaaaaaa! Huhhhhhhhhhhh! Huhhhhhhhhhh! I love it! Why don't they grow oranges in North Florida and South Geroga anymore? I guess it's too warm there.
COLD...All the old aches and pains raise there ugly head. (can you say getting old) But hey, I can't complain. Finally business has picked up! John
