I have been a lerker for quite some time now, but I haven't posted very much. I was wondering if the medium riser stands were a different height than low riser stands? Thanks in advance.
MR stands are shorter and wider. You can make do with low riser stands by milling the bottom off and using shims.

I could be wrong but my understanding is there are three different stand heights.... LR/CJ, MR/TP, and HR. There are two different (stock) widths... 390/428 and 427, plus the Edelbrock which has the exhaust valve at the 390/428 location and the intake at the 427 location.... sort of 1/2 and half...... so 3 different widths when you count ED's.....
Correct me if I'm wrong.

I have 10+ sets of each(C2 & C5)in my possesion. I went out and measured a sampling from each group(different sets- different individual pieces). The C5 and C2 Stands were the same height and were a different width, as I put in the post
All I can do is provide the information. It's up to each member how they use, or apply it.
I don't have any stock stands in my possesion, sold them long ago, but I believe you Dennis, thanks for correcting me, LOL. I do have printed material from DOVE where they advertize three stand offerings for the LR/CJ, MR/TP and the HR. Somehow I read into it wrong about being 3 different heights, even though I knew about the width difference for the 390-428/427 valve spacing.
So the LR/CJ and MR/TP are the same height-different width... and the MR/TP and HR are different height-same width. Clear as mud now, crow tastes like sh!t..... my bad.
***EDIT*** After thinking about this, I still think there are three heights.... I just had the LR in with the wrong group (in my head... not sure if the DOVE flyer was correct or wrong), it should be with the MR/TP for height but different width. The 390/CJ is the stand that is taller than the LR/MR/TP.... and the high-riser is the shortest.....correct?
I realize that wasn't the original question and my answer was wrong but that was what I had in my head. Again, thanks for double checking and setting me straight, I would have kept on thinking this was correct.
