Sounds great....What cam are you running? Does your car have power disc brakes?

It has a Comp cams extreme 284 hydrolic, It had power disc but didnt stop well even with a milder cam by todays standards. I just put in hydroboost the first time I stopped, I hit my face on the steering wheel. That car will out brake anything now even with the stock disc drum. I can lock them with one toe. Took a few days to get used to it but I love it. that was the smartest 700 bucks. The people around here drive so dam fast on that road if you go 80 you will get rear ended. I have a suburban and its governed at 96 I drive in the right lane so I dont get run over.

the one where the Mach is idling in the driveway. Your car has that perfect lumpy idle sound of "I mean business". I checked out the XE 284 and it has about 70 degrees of overlap. So where does the XE 284 powerband start and begin to fall off? That is one great sounding Mach 1......

But comes alive at 3000 and pulls right to where it breaks up at 5700.

Im suspecting the tach is lazy and im hitting the rev limiter pill which is 6k. Ive been looking to borrow a 6500 but just found out if you pull it theres no rev limiter ( BIG smile ). Having a 350 gears and the close ratio kills the accerleration I think. Im sure hitting it at 3k 40 mph 1st gear can be lowered a bit.
