Stupid post ignore it

November 30 2008, 6:29 PM

I was responding as I had been waiting for a response from an identical earlier post and my original post was too quick on the draw as it was somebody else who asked. My original post was stupid so please ignore it for the very few of you who actually saw it. Hawkrod

Whats up with this???

December 1 2008, 4:21 AM

Hey Mr.Hawk whatever who died and made you in charge of what posts are stupid and what isn't? Mr.Fuche has probably forgotten more about hipo FE's then you'll ever know. If you read his earlier posts you would see he was part of Dearborn Steel Tubing back in it's hey day and was involved in most of the big Ford projects from the golden era of drag racing. Pretty big time credentials in my book! He had a legitimate question and he asked it. Not stupid at all. Why don't you lighten up before you start calling other members here questions stupid. Hey,have a nice day...

Does the center carburetor look like the end carbs?

November 30 2008, 6:59 PM

Hawk is right about the C5 part number not being correct for the setup. Is the carb a Holley or Autolite? If you can send me a picture I can post it for you but we really need more information before we can tell you what you have. You may have a small block tri power carb. A picture or better description is really needed here...

Special Privileges LOL

December 1 2008, 6:44 AM

Having been there, I feel your pain. I got the "Hawkrod treatment", and when I asked for help from the moderators, and why special insulting and belittling privileges were extended to Hawkrod, MY posts got deleted- several times, and very quickly. Moderators posted that I should stop asking because they were "very sick of this"- well, "average" people get very tired of self-important, pompous blowhards insulting them- rules should apply the same to everybody, no special insulting privileges. If I needed help with an obscure part number or something like that, I'd be grateful for the help, but there's NOTHING I need bad enough to be treated like that. Funny how that little keyboard can make some folks seven feet tall LOL.
Have to say, though, this is the FIRST TIME I've ever seen him post that he was wr.. wr... wrong.... so I have to give credit where credit's due- a little crack in the veneer? A new, user-friendly Hawkrod in our future? I'd be all for it- time to hit the RESET button?

Sorry Gene it ain't true at all

December 1 2008, 7:13 AM

You have a complex apparently because you were not singled out, you were just wrong and so you had to take your lumps. You are also wrong on this issue as I always apologize and admit when I am wrong. The reason you have not seen it is because it does not happen often. But unlike some, I am man enough to admit when it does happen. Hawkrod

R.E. "It ain't all true." It's painfully obvious that HR is a legend in his own mind.

December 1 2008, 8:26 AM

I remember receiving the brunt of the "HR" inability to relate on human terms when I originally began participatng in the forum too. The defacto protection of the internet allows people to act like AH's and conduct themselves in a manner which if conducted "mano e mano" would promptly get them knocked on their butt. I think HR needs a few sessions of cognitive therapy. My two cents worth.

Come on guys, you are going to make him feel bad

December 1 2008, 10:38 AM

Its Goddamn difficult to be right all the time, a burden no one should be asked to carry. Hawk bears it well. Besides he likes Studebakers, he can't be all bad happy.gif

We are all some characters aren't we? Its part of the fun. Some folks have thicker skin than others, I've had my thong up my belly button a couple of times but I got over it. We have some great resources here, and some fine folks. It doesn't matter to me if I am wrong on esoteric facts and part numbers, I like putting together stuff and beating it like a rented mule. I don't have valuable parts, but I can make some cheap ones have value. Thats allthat matters to me.

Now where did I put that W-code 427 Mustang...It was just there. Damn!

So much for wishful thinking LOL

December 1 2008, 10:42 AM

Just can't quite join the proletariat, can you? I truly had some hope that you would mellow out, take the hint, and join the human race, but too much to ask I guess. The only complex I have is in the vitamins I take in the morning- I see that you, in addition to the rest of your obviously extremely superior talents, have an advanced capacity for psychoanalysis- and since I choose to disagree with you, I obviously have a problem- because no one in their right mind would disagree with such an obviously superior being. Rag on me all you want, couldn't care less- I'm basically a pretty happy person, get along with most, and help when I can- and don't need my butt kissed when I do LOL. I do bite back when attacked, though, like most folks- I'd be willing to bet a few bucks that you don't mouth off to people in person the way you do behind a keyboard- instinct for self-preservation and all.
Just guessing of course, but just by your general attitude and the HUGE chip on your shoulder, just a couple questions- how tall are you? Get picked on in the schoolyard a lot? Might explain a lot LOL

Gene, getting picked on was never a problem

December 1 2008, 11:00 AM

There are plenty here who have met me. Many do understand what affect Aspergers has on me and my method of communication and they accept it. As far as getting picked on, the guys who have met me will assure you I am not a lightweight. I was a a cornerback in high school and weighed 230, had a 46 inch chest and an 18 inch neck and could press over 400. Didn't have too much trouble making my way down the halls. Hawkrod
