Can I use factory spacer springs with H-S rockers?

Decided to upgrade my valvetrain a bit. Bought hd shafts from POP and harland sharp rockers from summit racing. Put it all together using the factory stands and (new) spacer springs. Fired it up and heard a couple lifters tapping so I pulled the valve covers to run through them all again.

I founds two rockers on the passenger side and one on the driver side had shifted slightly such that the roller tips were no longer on the end of the valve. This was just after 20 seconds at idle.

What would cause this? I was hoping I would not need solid spacers but this makes me real nervous.

Thoughts?

I think you pretty well have to run solid spacers...

Others with more experience will chime in but I would think that trying to run the stock spacer springs with Harland Sharp roller rockers would rather quickly chew into the bushings and possibly the body of the rockers. That's excluding the other issue your having with them not keeping the roller tips centered over the valve tips which I believe makes solid spacers and shims mandatory. I could be wrong though.

Does anyone sell spacer stock?

I'm using H-S rockers also. I did put a steel
shim betweem rocker and spacer to prevent
dig-in. I tried to cover all angles.
I milled stock shaft stands to align all
the rockers square over the valve tip, I also
used heavy shafts and POP end stands.
The springs and inside stands are the only
factory pieces I re-used.
Kinda got me thinking also about spacer springs.
Anyone know a source for spacer stock?
