Wanted to know if the Lakewood #15210 bells for FE's really fit 68 Mustangs well, or is there modifications that have to be done for proper fitment since the Mustangs are kinda fussy with room.
Do Hooker headers pose problems with the Lakewoods?
Can these Lakewoods support the same size clutch as the standard C60A bell? I think clutch size is why the C5xx bell doesn't work on Mustangs even though you see a boatload of them on ebay (I mistakenly bought one too that is still at the house today, lol).
Thanks guys, just trying to figure out what bell I will need ahead of time.

Hooker 6114 do pose some interference problems in a Mustang. Best I remember, I had to grind a little off the starter hump on the passenger side. The driver side was even worse where the headers swept back - lots of grinding. Of cource this voids the warrenty and you will never get it past a tech inspection at the track. But for me I didn't care as I don't run in sanctioned racing - just wanted insurance for my feet. If possible do a mock up out of the car and do whatever grinding then. Laying on your back eating hot grinding dust is the pits.
Mine are not 6114, I forget the model, but they are bigger, but in different pieces since you could expand the header system I guess. 2 1/4 primaries, 3 1/2 collectors I believe.
Sounds like I might be getting the standard C60A bell if it's a big hassle. I just thought a blow proof would ease the mind a bit.

to check out Brent Lykins here on the forum. He carries the new Quicktime bellhousings, much lighter piece, and ask him about fitment. I have two, but won't be installing till spring. Mike
