in a thread a few day's ago some one asked about valve seals for eld heads. my 428 has eld cj type heads. it has always had a oil consumption problem.the poster in the previous thread said he changed the valve seals from teflon to viton seals.my heads are the later ones with .560 seals. where do you get the viton seals and does anyone have a part number for them. i think the valve stems in these heads are 11/32, they are the 390/428 version heads. is that correct??? thanks for the help....gopher

Barry or U.S. Seal

I buy mine in bulk from US Seal, you basically have to buy approx 3 sets worth.

Barry sells them too, as Wes pointed out

If you decide to go with U.S Seal, here is their web page, check dimensions and order the Viton

I think you have a 3/8 valve stem though, verify before you buy
