But I am not sure how often I will be talking with you guys over the next year. I am headed for Afganistan really soon. This will not be the same as Iraq, but hopefully I won't be saying third time is a charm. I swore last time If I had to deploy again someone was going to die so we shall see :0) Please have a drink or two for me.
Just wanted to say thank you. You and all the men and women serving our country are in our thoughts and prayer. Thanks again. Be safe, Godspeed. John

I hope everything goes as good as it can for you guys there.
We are in Montreal this week and today attended our youngest son's (17 y/o) Graduation cerimony for basic training. Tomorrow he joins the princess patricia regiment and once his training has been completed there will be deployed.
Hopefully there won't be any spilling of blood and you'll be back soon with a full compliment of limbs and sanity. I certainly appreciate your bravery.
Well, good luck. I just finished my third deployment today. First was Bosnia, then Iraq, then Afghanistan. If you're going to be in Bagram, let me know. They have internet there, but I should give you some pointers so you don't get ripped off. Plus, I have some contacts there to keep you out of troubleb (at the MP station). Again, good luck and God bless you.
I'm retired from the Air Force now but loved it during my "Tour of Duty". Never really thought about the danger or dying. Maybe you shouldn't either. Just think of your family and the good times you'll have when you get back and with God's care and guidence, you will! George

To Those Who have served and Those Who continue to serve, thank you…

Contrary to the drivel the mainstream media dish out on a daily basis, there are many of us outside of America who have the deepest admiration and respect for the sacrifices you have made and continue to make.
May God truly bless each and everyone of you.

Navy blue, tried and true, hang int there, when the lead starts flying, "DUCK"! Drop by and thank your local military cook when you get the chance, it's a thankless job performed by so many day in and day out, they go to work before everyon else and finish after many go to sleep. No matter what, the food has to be out on time, unlike many jobs, it will always be there, hot or cold, a little apphretiation goes a long way. Take care and see you when you get back. Let us know when you are about to get back, never know who will show up. My buddy got back from Iraq last month, I drove to SoCal and picked him up, was an 8 hour drive, don't regret it at all.
