Lokar Oil Dipstick

Hi guys,

I was wondering if anybody who has used the Lokar oil dipstick can assist?

I have a Lokar dipstick for an FE but on comparing with 2 original dipsticks, measuring from the mounting location on the side of the block, the Lokar is some 2 inches shorter than stock.

That means if I use the Lokar then there is going to lots more oil in the sump to bring it up to the full mark!

Please advise before I install and blow-up the motor..

thanks

Graeme

I am using the Lokar dipstick and tube on my Genesis and it is right on. The difference may be in the overall length of the tube and stick vs the stock. To be sure that it is right, next oil change be sure to put the right amount of oil according to your particular pan capacity and check the level after startup. If it is not dead on, take a file and lightly scratch the dipstick to show the correct level when full.
