Milodon Oil Pan

I did a search on this forum, and found it
mentioned many times about a $100.00 milodon
oil pan. I checked this description out at
different stores and found the only thing
close to this price is a stock replacement
offered by milodon. Is this pan sufficent
to run on a mildly modified 428CJ @ 5500 RPM?
Is baffles different? And, would it be helpful
to run a stock windage tray also?
thanks,
Mike

I've had one on my race car for a couple years. I go through the lights a little over 7000. It has worked for me.

The stock type pan calls for

5 quarts. Don't know if that includes the filter. I'd say this is a marginal pan, with almost no baffles. The race pan that most racers use, calls for 7 quarts and has almost no usefull baffles either, but seems to work. I'd run a windage tray in either case.
