What`s the deciding factor in going to a high volume oil pump over a standard volume pump?

Thanks Doug
See links at top of the page for Dougs site.

Mininum you should use is the M-57B
The M-57HV pump can be used with no problem.
A ARP drive shaft is a must have.
A high quality pan and windage tray is a must have for any serious build.

I have a ?tion about high volume oil pumps ?
there not like electric water pumps that are really only good for track purposses only .
I have a ford 332 that i am building a 410 stroker out of . would u say go with the high volume oil pump at this point ?
and the rest of the ?tion is if u had a high volume oil pump and didnt need it would u run oil to fast for it to cool parts . prolly a dumb ?tion
