I have a ss dual exhaust on my 66 Galaxie that I'm planning to change the log exhaust manifolds to the 427 headers. Basically, is it best just to cut both head pipes behind the manifolds and have an exhaust shop weld in segments to mate up to the headers? Sounds like a basic question, but I'd think that would be the way to go, right? Will be fun driving to the shop with open headers.
