ANYONE had any problems lately with jet hot?3 monthes ago i sent them 600.00 to purchase HOOKER HEADDERS for me and coat them, still tell me that they cant get the parts from HOOKER, but when i talk to HOOKER they tell me they have 5 sets in stock and would gladly sell if they were paid!!! any help or ideas???
I'd get my money back from them and order the the headers from someplace like summit, then send them somewhere ELSE to have coated after an experience like you are having now.
Thats what im trying to do. I was wondering if anyone is aware of any financial problems at JET HOT. How does the HOOKER ceramic finish look, and how durable is it? the main interist that i have in jet hot is their warranty.
the Hooker silver-aluminum looking ceramic finish on a pair of 1-3/4" SuperComps but on a 351W. The finish has held up great after 4,000+ miles and about 5 years. Car is garaged and never driven in winter so....
I did find it odd though that the headers were clearly marked as made in Mexico. That in itself wasn't the surprise. Instead, the welder left pretty big welds on the inside edges of port end flange, welds I had to spend some hours carefully grinding down to match the Stage II ported heads. PITA and an unexpected issue unrelated to the finish.
Howard, as I've reported here before, and will continue to do so whenever their name comes up, Jet-Hot sucks. What goes around comes around. They damaged my NOS headers and refused to make good. Stay away from them. Not that I'm bitter. LOL.
I dont have any personal experience with jet hot, just some stories from friends that had similar issues, although I've also read a lot of success stories on different board from them. If you are anywhere near So-Cal id give http://www.embeeperformance.com/ a call.
I sent a set of hooker super comp 6113 in and had them back quickly in about 10 days. Held up good but they scratch easy. Be careful installing them if that is even posible.

my NOS long tube headers, and then tried to stick back on with a dab of braze, and then ceramic coat over it, and then not pay for the damage, or pay for the proper weld repair I had to have done, mine came out pretty good too. Thanks, I feel better now. LOL.

There is a place here in North San Diego County called Olympic coatings. They do very well on the stuff. Same stuff as "Jet Hot" uses. Holds up well also.
Mike
If they cant deliver, get the dough back and go elsewhere, everyone and their brother does nice work coating now
I will say this though, as we "waited for Hedman to deliver" my F-100 headers to Jet-Hot last summer, they didnt charge my credit card, the charge didnt go through until it shipped
If that isnt the case with you, I'd make a stink, order a set of headers and go to a local shop. most places charge around 175.00 for a set of long tubes.
On my Mustang I had used 6114s done by Thermal Dynamics in VA, excellent job for about 200 bucks.
Where are you from? I am sure someone here can find a local shop for you.
WOW THANKS for your input.I live in central mn.They cashed my check right away and it seems like they have a credit issue or some other money issues going on internally. Also, every time i call them,it seems one dept. cant get answers from another.gives me a real uneasy feeling.ILL keep you posted. Thanks guys!!
I've not had any dealing with them, but I know that they have shut down their plant in Pascagoula, MS. I heard that what they were doing here is now going to Oklahoma. I haven't heard a reason for them shutting down the Mississippi plant, just that they have.

I sent my NOS R-code Fairlane cast headers to them and came back scratched, sent them back came back same way because of VERY poor packaging, I will never deal with them again......
