I need to know the name of the company in Alabama that does lost titles, obtains titles, etc. I have used Broadway in the past, but, I heard that they got in some serious trouble for keeping customer's cars, or something like that.
Can someone give me the name (site) for other reliable title services in Alabama to get a title?

If you live in CA you might as well burn the car now

The title services are in trouble due to creating titles for vehicles with legitimate owners elsewhere. In California you might as well forget showing up at DMV with an Alabama title unless you can show an Alabama drivers license with the same address. Hawkrod

My experiance

About a year ago I used International Title service, in Las Vegas. I guess they just act as a broker of services, because I got paper work from Alabama on the car. The problem was that you dont actually get a title. They will only give you a Registration from Alabama. They do not title cars that are 74 or older in Alabama, they also give you a statement of the law signed by a judge for showing to the dmv so they can understand this no title on pre 74 cars deal. Let me tell you it is a pain in the rear trying to get this to fly thru your dmv!! They can not understand that other states did not title certain older vehicles and it took me quite a few tries to get a title, for my car this way. I would NEVER do it again. Plus now I have a hincky feeling that another title still exists on the car in California. I think I will be parting it out..

old tags

i live in georgia, here's how the old tag deal works .i have a 63 tag on my 63 galaxie. you can register any car from 1969 or older. you have to buy a valid current liscense plate. then you can register your old tag. when they run your tag it will come back that either tag can be displayed on car. i know how that works because i've tried it in fla. and michagan. just ask don ragan.... just warnings both times.was't about tags just turning issues.ran 63 tag both times came back valid. current tag is stored under front seat just in case.....gopher
