Sure there isn't somebody closer?

The shipping on a pair of Merc bumpers both ways would be as much as the chroming. There must be chrome places in Sweden or a nearby country you can drive to? Check with local car restorers.

Closer

There are garages doing chrome jobs in Sweden but a pair of bumpers will be $3500 plus shipping. There are also companies in Poland, much cheaper but they donīt speak swedish or english and I donīt do polish. It is also far to drive to Poland and then I would have to stay there for a week waiting for the bumpers to be done because I donīt trust the shipping companies. Doing two bumpers by Chromeguy will be $1100 plus shipping $125 to AZ were I have a friend who do container shipping. The container shipping will be around $150. I hope to have them on my car in Sweden for less then $2000.

Chromeguy sucks

He did an Edsel bumper for me that peeled like tinfoil even as I installed it; then stiffed me on a return.

Librandi

This place has a STERLING reputation for putting out TOP quality work. It's also reasonably priced for the quality of work performed. There are a lot of top end people that use this service, as it easily exceeds anything from the factory.

This is the latest of 20 AACA first place cars he has done, and he uses Librandi exclusively.

He races a 1964 Galaxie with a 460 based engine, and is a 'Ford' guy.

Librandi is not a bottom dollar shop, but is not at the top of the pay scale, either. They put out excellent work at a fair price. It will look RIGHT, and will last.

Tri-City Plating

Howdy. These folks did the front bumper for my 66 Fairlane and I'm happy with it. I don't think they cater to the show crowd, it may be more value oriented, i.e. lower priced but still with good quality. FWIW, Scott
