What is the cc of the combustion chamber on these heads. They are on a prodject a friend bought, and I think this thing is going to fall flat on it's face gasping for air. Are these machined or as cast combustion chambers? Alot of money spent in the wrong places.

You mean C8AE-H?

Just standard heads that got used on every FE but the CJ, that year.

Bob,

I could be wrong on the H suffix, but they were C9AE heads with the 390 GT exhaust bolt pattern. They have the bosses for smog, but never tapped, but they have a raised area in the exhaust port under the bosses that I can't immagine would help but screw with exhaust flow. I know what pistons are in it from the build sheet, but I need to know about the combustion chamber volume to see where he is at.

Nope, no C9AE-H heads, the 68-71 heads are C8AE-H

Except for CJ's and 427's the only head Ford used was a C8AE-H wether it was grandma's 428 station wagon or your 69 GT Mustang or your 71 F100 with a 360. They all used he same casting just machined differently for whatever application. Hawkrod
