timing chain covers

What is the diffrence between a 65 cover and a 68 cover with one small screw and one cover bolt the 65 has two small screws? are the pointers in the same place?

The difference is the pointer. The later cover was redesigned for a bigger pointer

The pointers are in the same location and you can use an early pointer on a later cover or a later pointer on an early cover (but you need to make a spacer or drill an extra hole). Hawkrod
