On my Fairmont, I have 69 Galaxie 11" drum brakes, which uses the smaller center hole, are fairly light, they are smooth, no fins. When we were doing the rearend for the car, I just went to a local auto wreckers and they torched off the last 6"`s or so of the housing, so I got my housing ends, backing plates as well as the drums. Afret, if you bought the rear brakes as a Ford Motorsport kit, I imagine that they didn`t say what original application was right?
