Response to O/T but Ford. Does anyone know a good transmission

In another lifetime I was in the transmission industry. The best bet is to use an independent, trade certified rebuilder. Both ATSG and ATRA are reputable. There are hundreds of group members that are required to honor a common warranty. Just Google for a list in your area. Unit is likely a E4OD. There are many, valuable upgrades available, especially converter and planetary carrier.
