oil consumption!!!!

craig i just went thru this with my 428. so much oil ran thru it i thought i owned a couple of oil wells.first i ran my car with some cut out valve covers. at the rear the oil came up on the retainer.i had .090 restrictors in the heads. i made a new set.070, oil only came up to top of springs. went back and put a .060 restrictor in. oil now only comes up halfway on the spring. i got a set of viton valve seals from keith kraft. installed them. haven't driven it on a long enough trip to see if it is ok, but i'm sure it has to at least slow the oil loss down. with the cut out valve covers it's hard to believe how much oil can come thru a .090 hole. i don't know if it matters but i have a h/v oil pump. what did your spark plugs look like? mine looked good at the front of engine but the father back they got oilier. pop a valve seal off. look on the inside if it's oily then it's sucking oil.. i discovered this after i replaced the intake gaskets twice thinking they were the problem. this was kinda long but mabee it will help you solve your problem..good luck gopher....
