only work to about 3k on most boxes. They are a big help if you have a larger cam at low RPM. My 390 with the 292H was touchy around town till I put in my Holy Anihilater CD system with multi spark. It will now pull from 1800Rpm rather than 2400. The only problem was it took some of the lope away. The lope is basically a misfire caused by the overlap and the multi spark gives it several chances to ignite. Dual points help due a a longer dwell but that is mostly a help at the higher RPM.
