Just yesterday, I completed a SBF Yates head that flowed 383 CFM @ .700" and 278 EX without a pipe. The Intake maifold was a Roush that I ported to flow 443-448 CFM, and when bolted on the head, the flow was 380 CFM @ .700". There are indeed better intake manifolds available than the old Cleveland 4V styles. One of these new intakes on the PSE style intake would be good, but not better than the Victor 427. A Victor 427 will flow 450+ CFM with a MR size intake port opening. Sorry, I think you need to realize that all that work would not accomplish anything but wasted energy, money, and still not flow any better than a well ported Victor 427 on a FE. JMO, and 37 years experience porting and flow work. Joe-JDC.
