snap-on sells a tool for retheading the whole without removing the head. As far as ford changing anything I don't know, see this happen on the v8s before. I would check your other plugs to make sure sure none are loose and or seized. the manufacturers say 100,000 miles on plugs, never seen any maake it that long, would bet that all the plugs needs to be replaced anyway. hope this helps,been out of ford dealerships for about six years, so maybe there is an update.
