I did not make any other changes. I was just concerned with putting in laps. My other motive was being with my Chevy buddies, I made a point of not opening the hood just to show them Fords don't need to be worked on all of the time. My buddy in the '55 Chevy had his door pop open on launch, the speedo cable popped off, his steering column broke a weld, etc... he stopped after one pass, the other Chevy threw a belt, the carb return spring popped off. I told him last Tuesday when we were rebuilding his carb to put on a double spring and a good one at that. He stuck on the piece of crap single spring he had. Yesterday he spent $15 on a new spring at the track. So with each round and his minor troubles, I kept the hood shut just to make my point. We really revived the old Ford/Chevy battle yesterday. What a blast it was.
