The wire regulator is broken most likely. It is a Ford only item, and big$$$. There is no hidden screws, but the door panel lifts straight up, then out. It is a trick to get off. I have a 04 with 28000 miles and it has had 2 new regulators, but lucky for me it happened after the warenty ran out.
