That, believe it or not, is the mallory distributor[cable tach drive] that was in the engine when I bought it back! That is also the original mallory marine cap! I just cleaned it up and sprayed it with the same clear w/ prism metalflake[for shows.] I also polished the dist. housing and checked it for performance, since it has no vacuum advance. It has a total advance of 38* @ about 2800 rpm. The mallory cap and rotor are readily available. The dist. model # is YL and the TYPE # is 502-B2. I found a spare dist. on ebay for $25.00, just for parts! Dual point, which is what I am currently using, however I bought a conversion kit for electronic ignition. I just like the "old school" approach to things! Dean
