That could be. I'm going off of a photographic memory that hasn't seen the Nat'l Dragster page for 30 or so years. I'm pretty sure the index at the time for D was 10.22, and they set the record at 9.71, then sold the car. It's not necessarily the heasds that were special by themselves. It was also some of the peripherals that worked with them.
Since you have the car, that should speak volumes. I don't know what you got when you purchased it, and that parts up to you.
