Side Center oiler

I purchased a 427 FE with a casting date of 1968. It's somewhat unusual in that it has all the casting characteristics of a side oiler yet it was drilled as a center oiler. Does anyone have experience with this block? Any possibility that the block can be re-drilled into a side oiler?
