The information in the post about a single 4 BBL intake from Bill Coon is wrong.
From Bill:
Bill is planning to cast two intakes;
The first intake will be a dual plane dual 4 BBL, just like the factory orriginal.
The second intake will be a single plane, air gap type manifold, with tapered short runners, and an open plenum for two 4 BBLs. It will have a removable plate top for either two 4500 style holleys or a removable top for twin dominators.
Bill is planning for either of these options to be available. If the customer wanted a single 4 BBL, they could machine their own top to bolt on top of the open plenum.
Bill is shooting for a price tag arroud $650 per intake.
Heads:
Bill is quallifying the last few sets of heads now, then they will be sent out for final machine work. Bill is hoping the first sets of heads will be ready to ship to customers in a few weeks. Bill is running 42 sets, or 84 heads in this run. Heads will be made available to customers in the order that their deposits were recieved.
Since Bill took deposits, all his heads are spoken for. If Randy is interested in a set, Bill could keep his information if Randy contacts Bill, and the guy could pick up a set if anyone backs out, or Bill has a few vendors who have bought several sets, and perhaps arrangements could be made to buy one of their sets from them.
Bills first 11 sets were delivered to Jay Brown, Earl Wade (Nicolsins mechanic), Robert Pond, & John Turner from Florida. Anyone wanting information on the Quality of Bills heads should contact one of these guys and ask questions.
Roger
