Ring designs have changed in the OE world - but they really have just mirrored changes that the race community have embraced for quite some time. These are mainly in terms of reduced cross sections - thinner in both thickness and width. They have gone to entirely ductile iron of steel for the base material, with a plasma-moly facing.
