Through hardness

Response to alternate inspection

Joe was able to get some through hardness data on the RAS pin, because it was partly worn away. The hardness was the same on the unmarred surface and on the worn surface, both at 53 Rc. The worn surface was worn away by 0.010", so there was at least a "decent thru-thickness during the hardening process", according to Joe. The other rockers didn't show any wear like this, so we don't have any data on the thickness of the hardening process on those pins.
