| Carefully weigh any advice to forward your complaint to your credit card company while still pursuing resolution through Ebay/PayPal. If you file a dispute with the credit card provider and Ebay, Ebay will immediately close the complaint and leave you with only the credit card option. Usually the credit cards are a lot more liberal about their deadlines to enter a dispute than are Ebay/PayPal. I had a problem and contacted both but fortunately was warned by the credit card agent about Ebay's action when a credit card dispute was entered. The credit card advised to pursue Ebay's dispute process to conclusion and then file a credit card dispute if still necessary. Ebay resolved my purchase problem to my satisfaction; less a $25 dispute fee of course. The system works although it feels slow. |
