2U is a 66-73 390 car and truck, 3U is a 73-76 truck 390 (not FT). You will also find Ford Truck (FT) versions of the 2U and 3U with the inch and three eighths diameter snout and larger pilot bearing recess on the rear of the crank. The FT cranks are steel.
