The cars were not built on the regular assembly line and do not have W code VINs. Because the records do exist it does make it easy to tell. Now, as far as engine certifications go, Jan 1st was when it was required by law but Ford started with certification with Job 1 and so there are no "specials" out there from the assembly line.
