Response to Titanium retainer damage from spring damper chafing fix ??

to run a dual spring without/damper! There are lot's of great springs that are just dual springs, don't need the damper.....that is what cuts into the retainer... not the springs.

PSI, Manley Nextec, have many offerings and Comp has some too. I know Isky makes some nice "tool room" springs buy notice most do have dampers.

I took my heads apart this spring after 5 years use with Titanium retainers and dual springs running solid roller cam (rated) springs. The PSI dual springs didn't eat or scratch or frett the titanium retainers at all, they looked great so I reused them, I did replace the springs and lifters......
