Response to Nobody is talking about blocking oil to the lifters.

I have been following Jim's Aussie FE build for some time now and I think he was exactly talking about blocking oil to the lifters also along with restictors to the rockers.
He is putting a solid cam in his 390 Hyd block and he wants to get other views on the subject of blocking the oil galleries to the lifters.
What is you opinion?
Since we are on this subject of blocking oil galleries Jim.
Here are a few more of my thoughs on the 390 block oil holes.
All oil plugs in the block MUST be changed to socket head pipe plugs.
I even do the one in the distributeor hole. I have an extra long pipe tap for that hole which makes it easier. You will also have to shorten the plug a bit for lifter and dist clearance.
I do not like the idea of grinding out the hole in the main saddle to the cam bore. The FE block is prone to cracking in that exact spot and the removal of metal from there is just stupid.
