look carefully at the spiroloc, and usually there is one side that has a flatter side. If it is indiscernable, then you can install them either way. I can usually see the difference, and if you can, then put the bevels towards each other. That is the biggest cause of piston pins coming loose, and scouring the cylinders. The clips were not installed with the flattest side to the pin/piston. Just a little extra insurance when blueprinting any engine is to take the time to make sure all washers have the flat side properly oriented, and all the clips same way, also. Joe-JDC.
