A member wants to convert his 65 Galaxie to a 4-Speed. He copied the pictures & parts list I have previously posted illustarting the factory bell housing and clutch linkage parts required.
He contacted me for more information and advised he had already purchased a Borg Warner transmission for the conversion. I have no 1st hand experience trying to use the BW box in that chassis but considering overall length, trans mount position and shifter requrements, trying to use a BW 4 Speed in a 65/66 Galaxie chassis may make the conversion much more difficult that locating the correct toploader, bell housing, clutch & shifter linkage. I have asked him for more information on the transmission he bought. Opinions are appreciated. ww
