I would suggest pulling pinion support with pinion out of case. Be careful and look to see if there is a yellow mark on the pinion pointing toward a gear tooth as this may be a hunting gear set with corresponding marks on the ring gear. If marked, they must be installed back in time. Change the seal and put a small shim behind the crush sleeve. Then, retorque the pinion nut until you get 20/25 inch pounds of restance when turning the pinion. You should also replace the O ring seal on the pinion support. This will give a good job.
