Pulsing lights

I had a similar problem, after I put the 351 in my landcruiser. But all my lights would pulse and my amp meter would do the same. I took it to the local elect. shop. First thing he asked me was "do you have an amp. gauge or a volt meter." come to find out that you need to wire the regulator different for an amp. gage than a volt meter. Not to sure what he did, but he had it fixed in about 15 min.  John
