Interesting that when my Fairmonts Holley 780 lost it`s primary bowl vent, it did it`s little tap dance on #4 as well. Like Dale, I never found the vent tube either, since it`s aluminum, I`m guessing that it either burnt up in the cylinder, or it passed out the open exhaust. It didn`t do any noticable damage to my cyl. head either, and although the piston has a bunch of dings on the top, the ring land never got hurt, and the piston is still in there today.
