with the pin in the shifter and NOTHING HOOKED UP TO THE TRANS LINKAGE-in other words all i have done is move the shifter fron the vise where it works to the trans adapter plate where the two bolts hold it to the tranny instead of the pressure from vise-and it doesnt work--wont get past the shim between 1/2 and reverse
